From a 20-Million-View KEXP Session to Two Nights at Brixton: Angine de Poitrine's 2027 World Tour

Angine de Poitrine, the masked microtonal duo from Saguenay, Quebec, announced a 2027 world tour on October 21, 2026: it opens March 4 at Forum Melbourne, plays two nights at London's O2 Academy Brixton on June 28 and 29, and closes July 30 in Chicoutimi. Presales start October 27 and general sale is October 30 at 10am local time. Glastonbury is not confirmed.

That matters because the headline doing the rounds nearly says otherwise. NME wrote that the Brixton nights and a June 24 show at The Piece Hall in Halifax (the Yorkshire one, not Nova Scotia) “take place around the same time as Glastonbury” and called it “likely” the band could be on the festival's 2027 line-up. Glastonbury runs June 23 to 27, 2027, and has not announced a line-up. Until Worthy Farm says so, it is a guess, not a booking.

Where are Angine de Poitrine playing in 2027?

The run crosses four continents in five months. Before the headline dates in the table, March is mostly festivals: Golden Plains and WOMADelaide in Australia, all three South American Lollapaloozas (Argentina, Chile, Brasil) and Estéreo Picnic in Bogotá. June adds Primavera Sound in Barcelona, We Love Green in Paris, Festi'neuch in Switzerland, and Germany's Hurricane and Southside.

Two dates wobble in the coverage: Exclaim! prints Toronto as July 17 and the hometown Chicoutimi show as July 31, but NME, Stereogum and Dork all list July 18 and July 30. We went with the majority, so check your ticket.

How did one KEXP video turn into a world tour?

The band's own site presents them as two brothers, Khn and Klek de Poitrine, playing since 2023: Khn builds loops of microtonal guitar and bass using his toes and a looper, while Klek plays drums. They stay anonymous and ask that nobody speculate about who they are. Their first album, Vol. 1, came out independently in 2024.

The turn came at Rencontres Trans Musicales in Rennes, France, in December 2025. KEXP filmed the set and posted it on February 5, 2026. By April 9, NME reported, it had passed 8 million views.

What followed reads like a checklist. Vol. II arrived in April 2026 through Spectacles Bonzaï. In June the Montreal International Jazz Festival gave them a free outdoor headline set, and Billboard Canada reported estimates of around 70,000 people. Then came The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and in September Vol. II won the Polaris Music Prize while “Fabienk” took the Polaris Song Prize.

What do the room sizes say about demand?

A view count is cheap. A room is not. Billboard Canada notes that in 2025 the duo played a Jazz Festival club stage that holds around 2,000 people, and that in April 2026 they launched Vol. II with two sold-out nights at Montreal's 1,000-capacity Club Soda. NME reported in April that demand pushed their October UK and Ireland dates into bigger venues and added a second London night at the Troxy.

The 2027 rooms keep stepping up. Brixton holds 4,921, so two nights there is close to 10,000 tickets, and NME calls them the band's biggest headline gigs to date. Dork puts Toronto's RBC Amphitheatre at 16,000 and the Chicoutimi waterfront at 15,000. For an instrumental band with no singer, the drift from 1,000-cap clubs to amphitheatres in about 15 months is a real signal, the same ladder climbed on a first arena run.

A view count is cheap. Ten thousand Brixton tickets are not.

For fans, the practical bit is the presale. Stereogum reports Laylo sign-ups on the band's site close October 25 at 3pm ET, codes arrive October 26, and the artist presale opens October 27. With ticket prices still climbing and the UK's resale crackdown still taking shape, the Brixton and Halifax nights are the ones to watch.
