Usher and Chris Brown Cancel Four U.S. Stadium Dates on the R&B Tour

Usher and Chris Brown canceled four U.S. stadium dates on their R&B Tour after the tour’s promoter told ticket buyers it was prioritizing the health and well-being of the touring party and crew. Complex and Pollstar reported the cuts as Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium on October 17, Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium on October 24, Columbia, South Carolina’s Williams-Brice Stadium on October 29, and Indianapolis’s Lucas Oil Stadium on October 31. Fans were notified beginning Friday, October 9.

The promoter statement, quoted by Complex and Pollstar, said: “Following an extensive run of sold-out stadium shows on one of the year’s biggest tours, the event promoter has made the difficult decision to cancel select upcoming dates on the R&B Tour to prioritize the health and well-being of the touring party and crew. The demands of a tour of this length and scale are significant, and these adjustments will allow the tour to continue safely and sustainably through the remaining scheduled performances.” Live Nation promotes the trek.

What stays on the calendar

When the cancellations were announced, Complex reported that Houston’s second night on October 10 and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on October 15 remained on the schedule. The tour is set to resume November 5 with a five-night run at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, according to Complex. Pollstar Boxoffice figures cited by Pollstar put the trek at $280.86 million gross across 36 shows through October 3.

Brown’s UK court calendar

The cancellations land ahead of a UK court appearance for Brown. Complex reported that Brown pleaded guilty in July to affray connected to a 2023 London nightclub incident, that bail conditions require him to return to the UK by October 25, and that he is due in court on October 26. Pollstar reported that Brown is awaiting sentencing with a court date set for October 25.

Stadium pull-downs of this size ripple through promoter inventory and fan refunds the same week federal enforcers are pressing BOTS Act broker cases and Live Nation remains under a long-running antitrust spotlight, including coverage of Michael Rapino’s contract extension. Fans hunting replacement nights can watch how multi-night stands reshape routing, as in Gracie Abrams’ multi-night stands, while primary onsales keep colliding with bot pressure of the kind that flooded RAYE’s Royal Albert Hall sign-ups. For now, the official line is crew wellbeing, a kept MetLife date when the cuts were announced, and an Atlanta restart on November 5.
