Who We Are

The Ring VIP ("we", "us") operates thering.vip. The Ring VIP, The Ring by Lux (theringbylux.com and the Ring app), and Swarm by Lux are brands of the same company, so this one policy covers what we collect across all of them: the website, ticketing, and the Ring membership and its app.

Who Controls Your Information

The information you share here does not belong to only one company. When you buy a ticket, join a fan club, check in to a show, play a game, or upload to Moments, your information is held by two parties, each in their own right, and each may use it:

• The Ring VIP, which runs this platform, and
• the artist (and their team) whose show, page, or fan club you engaged with.

Each of us may use that information independently, to run events, provide support, improve what we build, and tell you about things we believe you care about. Artists can export the information of their own fans from the platform and use it under their own responsibility, the way artist fan platforms work.

Your choices bind both of us. Everything either party does with your information stays subject to this policy, the contact choices you make, and the law: if you opt out, reply STOP to a text, or ask for deletion, we honor it on the platform, and artists are required by our terms to honor it in anything they exported.

Information We Collect at Purchase

When you buy a ticket, we collect:

• Name and email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Payment details (processed by Stripe, we never store card numbers)
• Your general location (country, and usually city or region), estimated from your internet connection at the moment of purchase. We never store your IP address itself.

This information is used to fulfill your order, send your ticket confirmation, and contact you about your event, and it is shared with the artist whose show you bought and may be used by them, as described under Who Controls Your Information. Contact beyond your order and your event happens only under the contact choices you make.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your payment information is handled directly by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. We do not store, process, or have access to your full card details.

Text Messages

If you give us your phone number, we may text you, and you can text us. For texting we collect and keep:

• Your phone number and the messages sent in both directions
• Your consent choices, including when and where you opted in
• Delivery details for your number, so messages arrive in the right format

Typing your number on a signup form means we may text you about the thing you signed up for. Reply STOP at any time and all marketing texts end immediately; that choice is recorded and binds us and every artist. We keep sends inside daytime hours for your region. Texts are delivered through SendBlue, our messaging provider.

Your Fan Profile

We keep what you do with us in one internal fan record: your purchases, things you sign up for, shows you attend, content you share, and conversations you have with us, along with accounts you choose to link, like a Discord account or a Ring membership. We use it to run events and provide support, and we may use it to recognize and reward fans and to understand our audience. It also includes:

• Your general location (country, region, or city), estimated from your internet connection when you buy or sign up, or from contact details you have shared. An estimate is always treated as an estimate.
• Internal service notes, including how engaged you seem and whether we may have let you down, so a person can make it right. These are internal only: never shown publicly, never sold, and never used to deny you service.

Support conversations and messages you send us may be processed by Anthropic's AI services acting on our behalf to help us respond and understand them. A human is always in charge of decisions that affect you.

Signups, Games, and Public Content

• Signups and giveaways collect the details on the form (name, phone, email) plus your general location, used to run the thing you entered, including region checks where a giveaway is limited to one region.
• Games and leaderboards show the username you choose and your scores publicly.
• Moments uploads (photos and clips from shows) are reviewed by the artist and, once approved, are public: shown on our feed, credited to your handle, and visible inside the Ring by Lux app.
• Concert Buddies shares your first name with the small group you are matched into. After-show buddy ratings are anonymous to other fans.
• Guest lists: if someone brings you in or you win a spot, your name, your door code, and who invited you appear on the door list staff use that night.

The Ring and Its App

The Ring membership (the ring itself and the Ring app) is run by the same company as thering.vip, so a Ring holder's information works across both as one fan record. On top of what this policy already describes, the Ring app collects:

• Your Ring account (name, username, email, phone) and your ring's hardware identifier, including taps at doors and tables
• Event attendance and scans, points, badges, and reward history
• Listening activity you share or connect, used for rankings, streaks, and rewards
• In-app social activity: friends, group chats, posts and reactions, and your profile and visibility settings
• Push notification tokens, so the app can notify you

Your tickets, ring pickups, guest passes, and check-ins from thering.vip can appear inside the Ring app, and actions at shows (door check-ins, points, badges) land on your Ring account, attributed to the staff member who did them. Reads of a named person's records between the two systems are logged. Your contact choices and this policy's guarantees apply everywhere.

Analytics

We use first-party analytics to improve site experience. This includes tracking pages visited, time spent, and general interaction patterns using a random identifier stored in your browser. Our first-party analytics data is not shared with third parties. Separately, we use the Meta advertising pixel, described under “Advertising” below.

Advertising

Pages for an artist's tour, links or music carry the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising pixel, so that we and the artist can measure whether an ad worked and show relevant ads. Two pixels may load on the same page:

• The artist's own pixel, if they have added one. It sees activity on that artist's pages only, and the artist controls it.
• The Ring VIP platform pixel, which loads on artist pages across our roster. It records which artist a page belongs to, so we can measure and advertise across the platform rather than one artist at a time.

What is sent to Meta: page views, clicks on ticket and streaming links, checkout starts, and completed purchases, together with the identifiers Meta sets in your browser. We do not send Meta your name, email or payment details from these pages.

This data is processed by Meta under Meta's own privacy policy, and Meta may combine it with your Facebook or Instagram account. You can limit this in your Meta account under Settings › Ads, and through your browser's tracking controls.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services that may process your data:

• Stripe, payment processing
• Resend, email delivery (ticket confirmations and announcements you signed up for)
• SendBlue, text message delivery
• Anthropic, AI processing of support conversations and message understanding, on our behalf
• Vercel, website hosting
• Supabase, data storage
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram), advertising measurement, on artist tour, link and song pages
• Discord, only if you link your Discord account to your ring

Each service has their own privacy policy and processes data only as necessary to provide their service to us.

Data Retention

Purchase records are retained for as long as needed for order fulfillment, accounting, and legal compliance. Messages, consent records, and your fan profile are kept while we have a relationship with you, because they are how we honor your choices and serve you at future shows. Analytics data is kept as long as it is useful for measurement. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Contact below) and we honor it across the platform, including anything artists exported.
