Spotify Wrapped 2026: 30 Seconds With Your Top Listeners, Due November 6

Spotify opened artist video message uploads for Wrapped 2026 on October 6, and independent artists reportedly have until November 6 to send one: a vertical clip of about 30 seconds, uploaded through Spotify for Artists on desktop, that can play for your top listeners inside their Wrapped. Every clip is reviewed, and placement is not guaranteed.

That is the whole deal, and it is a good one. Wrapped is the one week a year when listeners go looking for proof of who they love. A clip from you lands in the middle of that search, in front of the people who already played you the most. It costs nothing but a phone and half a minute.

How do you upload a Wrapped artist message?

Hypebot reported that uploads opened a day late and that artists reach the upload page from the Video & Visuals tab in Spotify for Artists on desktop, by clicking the Wrapped banner. RouteNote, writing on October 9, put the window at October 6 to November 6 and the length at 30 seconds or less. Neither date appears yet on Spotify's own artist blog, so treat November 6 as reported, and upload early rather than on the last night.

One date to keep straight: Spotify's own page for podcast creators, a separate program uploaded through Spotify for Creators and Megaphone, sets November 13. That deadline is for podcasters, not for artists.

Artists uploaded a Wrapped message last year · per Hypebot and RouteNote

Last year Spotify told artists the clips could reach fans “inside a Wrapped feed for top listeners” and inside listeners' Wrapped data stories, and that every artist on the platform was able to take part. Hypebot reports the outreach drew hundreds of millions of views.

What should an independent artist actually say?

Spotify's suggested prompts, as Hypebot listed them, are a milestone, a reflection on your journey, and a look ahead, including upcoming live shows. The look ahead is where an independent artist earns the 30 seconds back. A thank you is warm. A thank you plus one place to go next is useful.

Thirty seconds, your biggest listeners, their most attentive week: say thank you, then give them one door to walk through.

Because the rules reportedly ban on-screen text and logos, the call to action has to be spoken. Keep it to one ask. A checklist before you hit record:

That last point is the honest limit. Review means some clips will not run, and even an approved clip only reaches the listeners Spotify decides to show it to. Nothing here builds a list you own. It is a moment of attention you can point somewhere else, which is why where you point it matters more than how good the clip looks. We made the same case in our look at Spotify's superfan push: plays are a signal, showing up is the relationship.

When does Wrapped 2026 come out?

Spotify has not announced a date. Recent editions landed in early December: Spotify's artist blog marked Wrapped 2025 on December 3, 2025, and coverage of Wrapped 2024 ran on December 4, 2024. If your clip names a show, pick one far enough out to still be ahead of people in December. If your next shows are going through Spotify's own ticketing, how Reserved Tickets works is worth a read first, and if you sell a meet and greet, say out loud where fans find it, the way tours on The Ring VIP list theirs: that is exactly the kind of door this clip should open.
