Tiffany Day and glaive released “MEANT TO BE” on October 13, 2026, their first official collaboration, with a desert-set video directed and shot by John Kim. The song started life as “MEANT2BE,” a track Day wrote in 2024, and it arrived in the middle of glaive’s God Save The Three tour, where Day is one of the support acts.
The official video went up on Day’s own YouTube channel under the title “Tiffany Day, glaive - MEANT TO BE.” Before that it premiered on BBC Radio 1’s New Music Show with Jack Saunders. The writing and production credits go to Day, Jack Hallenbeck and glaive.
How did a 2024 song become a glaive duet?
Day has never hidden where this one comes from. During her Boiler Room debut in 2026 she remixed two glaive tracks, and in early September she brought him out at her San Francisco show with “MY GOAT” on the screen behind her, where the two previewed unreleased music together. Then she took the old “MEANT2BE” and rebuilt it as a duet.
It’s like a dream collab, and it’s just very full circle.Tiffany Day, BBC Radio 1 New Music Show, as reported by pm studio
She told Radio 1 she “listened to a lot of glaive” while making her album HALO, and described the song’s shape plainly: “the first drop is like a little more dark, and the second drop is a little more euphoric.” Stereogum’s Chris DeVille heard it the same way, calling the arrangement “Maximalist without feeling overkill.” The FADER put it as a hopeful streak over a frantic, digicore sound.
Why release it in the middle of the tour?
Timing is the story here. glaive and kurtains released their joint album God Save The Three on May 8, and NYLON reported in May that Day would open on the tour’s North American leg: 24 dates, September 25 in Raleigh to October 28 in Nashville. “MEANT TO BE” landed with about two weeks left, the night before a stop at the Wonder Ballroom in Portland, Oregon.
That means the song lands in rooms already holding both audiences. An opening slot is usually a one-way trade: the support act borrows the headliner’s crowd for 30 minutes and hopes some of it follows them home. A shared single released on the road makes the trade go both ways. Every glaive fan who heard Day open now has a song with both names on it, and Day’s fans have a reason to look up the headliner.
Day spent the year as a glaive fan, then his opener, then his co-writer.
What are the numbers behind Tiffany Day in 2026?
HALO, her second album, came out April 3 via Broke Records, 13 songs, and reached No. 25 on Billboard’s dance and electronic albums chart, according to her European tour announcement. It is the record that turned the singer behind the self-funded Gratitude Tour into a hyperpop name. Stereogum put HALO on its midyear list of the best albums of 2026.
Her biggest song is still the older “IF I DON’T TEXT YOU FIRST,” at about 34.7 million Spotify streams, but the HALO era is catching up: “AMERICAN GIRL” alone is past 12.7 million, and the June single “CONSTANTLY” with slayr is past 6.2 million, all per Kworb as of October 9, 2026.

The singer whose career began with a viral Hallelujah clip in Spoleto now heads to Europe with a duet featuring the artist she cites as a favorite. Her full story, from Wichita to HALO, lives on the Tiffany Day wiki.
