Look closely enough at the credits on three very different catalogs and the same imprint keeps surfacing: Rebellion Records, the label a dark-pop hitmaker built out of his own spite for major-label math. It also tried to sign Christian Gates, and while that never became a deal, the label did end up, almost by accident of timeline, running a thread straight through Julia Alexa's gothic rebrand, Ari Abdul's feature ledger and a 2023 Dutch Melrose deep cut that nobody outside the fandom seems to remember exists.
The Label PLVTINUM Built
PLVTINUM, born Michael Turner, built his name on "Champagne & Sunshine" before deciding the real business was ownership. In August 2023 he founded Rebellion Records with COO Daniel Nall, structured around a royalty split of roughly 25 percent to the label against an industry standard of 50 to 60 percent. The pitch worked on more than just his own catalog. Rebellion's breakout success includes Chris Grey, who grew from 100,000 to over 6 million monthly Spotify listeners and earned a JUNO Award nomination within his first year at the label, as well as VANA, whose single Beg topped SiriusXM's Octane Radio and surpassed 30 million streams. By October 2025, Rebellion reported it had generated over 5 billion streams and "nearly eight figures" in revenue since launching just two years earlier.
There was a near-miss with The Ring's own roster, too. PLVTINUM tried to sign Christian Gates to Rebellion Records, Christian Gates confirmed to The Ring. No deal came of it.
Dutch Melrose Got There First
The clearest, earliest link in the chain predates both Julia Alexa's pivot and Ari Abdul's features. On October 27, 2023, PLVTINUM, Chris Grey and Dutch Melrose released "JENNIFER'S BODY" as a three-way billed single, with its official metadata reading "under exclusive license to Rebellion Records." It's a detail The Dutch Melrose Collaboration Map has touched on before, but it means Dutch Melrose's name sits on Rebellion's books more than a year before Julia Alexa's gothic rebrand and roughly a year before Ari Abdul's own Chris Grey crossovers, making him, quietly, the first Ring-adjacent artist to actually release through the label.
Three different catalogs, one recurring imprint in the credits.
Julia Alexa's Exclusive License
Julia Alexa's 2025 gothic run, BLOODY HANDS, HEAVENSENT, PRETTY WHEN I CRY, VAMPIRE and ABYSS, all carried a "released under exclusive license to Rebellion Records" credit, the same phrasing stamped on "JENNIFER'S BODY" two years earlier. What the wiki called an unresolved question, whether that license made her a signed artist or something looser, has since been answered by the label itself: Rebellion Records' own artists page now lists her by name among PLVTINUM, Chris Grey, Vana, STIM, Ethan Low and Vice Monröe. Her 2026 output kept rolling under a "live forever" label credit, with "die for you" arriving April 17, "nirvana" with Call Me Karizma on June 19, "hostage" on July 17 and "time of death" landing September 18, the newest title in the catalog as of October 2026.
Ari Abdul's Crossover Credits
Ari Abdul's own Rebellion footprint runs through Chris Grey specifically. Her discography lists a November 8, 2024 remix of "LET THE WORLD BURN" crediting Chris Grey, G-Eazy and Ari Abdul, released through a three-way billing of Chris Grey, Rebellion Records and 10K Projects, followed by "DEATH WON'T DO US PART," a Chris Grey Rebellion Records release from November 21, 2025. Abdul has continued to rotate solo and collaborative singles, including songs with Ella Boh, Chris Grey, and Beach Weather between solo tracks like 2024's "Girls on the Internet" and 2026's "Ego" and "ENAMORED." None of it puts her on Rebellion's artists page the way Julia Alexa is, but it puts her in the same Chris Grey writing rooms that have fed the label's biggest growth story.
The Expansion Keeps Compounding
Rebellion hasn't stood still while these three catalogs intersected it. An October 9, 2025 press release described a Too Lost investment combining "significant capital investment" with Too Lost's technology to "accelerate Rebellion's rapid artist development model."

The roster kept growing too. Emmy Award-winning actor, model, and recording artist Rome Flynn inked a deal with PLVTINUM's New York City-based label in July 2026. Founded in 2023 with a focus on dark and alternative pop, the label's roster also includes Chris Grey, Ethan Low, DaniLeigh and Alexa Dark. Rebellion Records and 10K Projects are currently entered into a joint venture, with other notable partnerships including a publishing split with Warner Chappell.
A Scene Mapped By One Imprint
Only Julia Alexa appears on Rebellion's artists page. Ari Abdul's link runs through Chris Grey releases, and Dutch Melrose's Rebellion credit is a single three-year-old track. But the overlap says something true about how small this corner of dark pop actually is: one New York City-based label, one royalty structure built to undercut the majors, and three artists from three different Ring storylines who all ended up, at one point or another, with Rebellion's name in the fine print.
